The Liard River Suspension Bridge has been build in 1943 and designed by the American Bridge Company. The structure is located at km 798 of the Alaska Highway. It has been build in just 9 months, spanning 307 m over the Liard River, just a few km away from the Liard Hot Springs.
Civionic Engineering has been contracted by WSP Canada to determine the tension forces in the suspender cables and the main cable bundles for load rating and model verification purposes.
